SPEAK-UP or Share The Blame

“Men as well as women must SPEAK-UP and shame predators. The only way to end the menace is to accost and address it.”

Let's stand against victim blaming.

    I don't think that a woman is anyway responsible for the lewd comments, sexual innuendos or harassment she is subjected to. All blame is that of predators, and I don't hold all men responsible for the predatory behavior of few.

    But here I do blame those who step away from their own voice, neglecting to speak when required.

    These harassments has more to do with a need to establish power and control, rather than the need for sex. It's just a result of an imbalance of power. The need is so strong that it reduces them to their bestial, anitalistic self. How else could one explain the brutality they inflict on a woman, or worse a child they rapes …?

The issue is extreme

and so extreme

the devil is indeed

in all the details like

everyday matters we sweep

under the carpet as inconsequentially.

    

     The imbalance is ingrained in our upbringing, the values we are taught, or rather not taught. It is the outcome of the idea that our culture perpetuates through cinema , behavior, cliches, regular exchange of thoughtless banters and shameless jokes regarding anyone, through irresponsible talk and through not speaking up against stereotypes.

    Time is up for us to gamely smile along with them who are irresponsible stuff of our society.

• Do not compromise your dignity and ethics, you always have a choice. Just make it clear through your words.

• You are a victim so long as you protest. If you give in you have helped perpetuate the system.

• The days of victim shaming are over, speak up; help unmask the beast behind the predator.

Each time they try to dumb you or not allowing you to grow, you are only responsible to feed the monsters yet again.

So what do we do ..??

Actually dear,

       If you want to step away from being part of the problem then you need to become part of the solution.

SPEAK-UP, shame and punish the pernicious members of our society. This problem needs to be tackled at all levels.

Dear everyone,  (especially ladies,)

         Just remember you are not a spoilsport. When you call out them for such behavior, you are doing the right thing by shaming them and ensuring a better, more equitable tomorrow.

    So at last you are not the problem but by keeping quiet , you're helping to empower the source of the problem. SPEAK-UP now or rather share the blame equally.
